چکیده

For active noise control problems, when noise sources are contaminated by impulsive noise, the classic FxLMS converges slowly or even diverges. In order to effectively control such impulsive noise sources, by minimizing the L1-norm of an error vector, a modified filteredx affine projection sign algorithm (MFxAPSA) has been proposed. An exact efficient implementation can greatly reduce its number of multiplications per iteration from the order of projection order timing controller length to the order of adding them. Therefore, the efficiency improvement over the direct implementation is more impressive when the projection order is high. A variable step-size extension further improves the convergence rate of the MFxAPSA without increasing the computational cost. The superior performances of the proposed algorithms are verified by both synthesized and practical impulsive noise data.

A new efficient filtered-x affine projection sign algorithm for active control of impulsive noise

Impulsive noise is often encountered in the practical active noise control (ANC) applications. Traditional ANC algorithms fail to control such noise. Derived by minimizing the l1 norm of an estimated a posteriori error vector, a new filtered-x affine projection sign algorithm (NFxAPSA) is proposed to efficiently and effectively suppress impulsive noise. Two typical extensions, such as variable ...

Sparsity-Aware Filtered-X Affine Projection Algorithms for Active Noise Control

This paper describes a novel technique for promoting sparsity in the modified filtered-x algorithms required for active noise control. The proposed algorithms are based on recent techniques incorporating approximations to the l0-norm in the cost functions that are used to derive adaptive filtering algorithms. In particular, zero-attracting and reweighted zeroattracting filtered-x adaptive algor...

Fast Efficient Coefficient Update for Filtered-X Affine Projection Algorithms

An efficient version of the affine projection (AP) algorithm, which is called FXAP-AC throughout the paper, is presented. This algorithm uses the filtered-x structure instead of the modified structure which is required for the implementation of the AP algorithm when the desired signal is not available, for instance in Active Noise Control (ANC) applications. The conventional AP algorithm for AN...
